Planasa has appointed Jorrit de Vries as general director of Planasa Holland to oversee the company’s expansion in northern and eastern Europe.

These markets are currently served by the company’s nurseries in key strategic locations in Europe and Morocco, as well as by an international network of research and development facilities.

De Vries brings more than 25 years of experience in the berry sector, working in production, nursery management and sales. Most recently he has been working as an adviser to growers in different countries.

“His appointment is fundamental to Planasa because it involves a strategic area in which we see great opportunities for the company and in which, year after year, we’re increasing our presence by offering varieties and plants that are really attracting the attention of customers,” said president Alexandre Pierron-Darbonne.
